At MET, our work is centred around four key project areas, each focused on protecting and restoring different parts of our unique environment.
Alongside these are a range of smaller initiatives — what we call our “canopy projects” — which include specialised efforts and projects that span across multiple focus areas. You’ll find more about each of these on the following pages.
Across all our projects, we’re seeing encouraging results — more native birds returning, a noticeable decline in pest plants, and strong signs of native regeneration. But perhaps the most powerful change is the growing community connection to this mahi: more people than ever are stepping up to care for the place we call home.
